Leadership Training
The Leader-in-Training (LIT) Apprenticeship is an educational experience designed for youth exploring outdoor leadership and community connection. As students practice Trackers skills, experienced Guides mentor them in teamwork, communication, and stewardship. Choose the Apprenticeship that inspires you:
OPTION: Mariners Leader-in-Training (LIT) Apprenticeship Explore waterways through fishing and boating. Learn expedition planning, equipment use, and safety protocols while learning to mentor younger Mariners.
OPTION Rangers Apprenticeship LIT: Train as a Shadow Ranger, developing tracking, stealth, awareness, and archery skills. Learn to care for the village and natural world through bushcraft and outdoor arts.
OPTION Trackers Apprenticeship LIT: Experience all Trackers Guilds. Practice archery, wilderness survival, fishing, foraging, and lore under mentor guidance while learning to serve the next generation of Trackers.
Leadership Skills
Leader-in-Training (LIT) Apprentices develop leadership through guided, hands-on experiences. They practice responsibility, collaboration, and communication while learning from mentors and Guides. Under supervision, they connect with and inspire younger Trackers—passing on curiosity and care within a structured, educational setting.
Bonus LIT Summer Camps
Leader-in-Training Apprentices receive four optional free weeks of Leader-in-Training Summer Camps with their year’s tuition.
Expectations
Leader-in-Training (LIT) Apprentices model kindness, awareness, and teamwork as part of our Code of Care. They participate in supervised mentorship settings—never as staff or substitutes—and focus on learning and growth. Meeting expectations ensures a positive experience and future opportunities; if not, participation may be reassessed to support the group’s well-being.

Our Place
For Apprenticeships, we use buses or vans to journey from our drop site to authentic wilderness locations, featuring local forests, and fishing spots. Each site is unique, specifically chosen for the day's activity, bringing kids to incredible places where they can both learn and grow in the skills Trackers teaches.

Returning Apprentices rejoin their group by selecting the schedule with their Fellowship name. New Apprentices may register for any available group within their age range.
